Junior WordPress Developer

We are seeking a Junior WordPress Developer based in Johar Town, Lahore, to join our team on a full-time, onsite basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently managing website development, customization, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization. This role requires hands-on experience with WordPress development, converting designs into responsive websites, and working with various page builders and plugins. The working hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM, and the salary offered is competitive within the market.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites tailored to diverse client and business needs.
- Convert Figma designs into fully functional, responsive WordPress websites with pixel accuracy.
- Transform AI-generated or AI-built websites into well-structured WordPress sites.
- Customize and extend existing WordPress themes, plugins, and templates to enhance functionality.
- Create custom WordPress features using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Utilize popular WordPress page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, and Divi.
- Work with WooCommerce, custom post types, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), forms, and other WordPress functionalities.
- Implement basic API integrations to connect WordPress with third-party services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress core, plugins, themes, PHP, JavaScript, and compatibility.
- Apply functional and design changes while ensuring the stability of existing website features.
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, responsiveness, and security.
- Manage website migrations, staging environments, backups, and deployment tasks.
- Review existing websites and code to identify problems and propose effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with designers, SEO specialists, project managers, and other developers to meet client requirements.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail when implementing designs, functionality, and content updates.

Required Qualifications:
- 1.5 to 2 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Strong practical knowledge of WordPress and PHP.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience in creating and customizing WordPress themes, templates, and functionalities.
- Hands-on experience with Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, and other page builders.
- Familiarity with WooCommerce and its customization options.
- Understanding of WordPress hooks, actions, filters, template hierarchy, custom post types, and custom fields.
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs and API integrations.
- Ability to convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive WordPress websites.
- Capability to convert AI-generated websites or designs into clean, functional WordPress sites.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Basic understanding of website performance optimization, caching, and security best practices.
- Ability to work with existing websites and navigate unfamiliar codebases.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in matching design elements such as spacing, typography, responsiveness, and functionality.
- Ability to work independently, identify challenges, and develop practical solutions.
- Good communication skills with the ability to understand both technical and non-technical requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with hosting control panels such as cPanel and Plesk.
- Familiarity with Cloudflare and its features.
- Experience handling website migrations and troubleshooting hosting-related issues.
- Knowledge of third-party plugins, integrations, forms, payment gateways, and external services.

Additional Information:
This is an experienced developer role that goes beyond simple page-building tasks. Candidates must be comfortable working with PHP and WordPress core functionalities, troubleshooting existing websites, implementing designs from Figma, managing custom requirements, and independently solving technical challenges. The position requires working onsite to ensure close collaboration with the team and efficient project delivery.
