Junior WORDPRESS / PHP DEVELOPER

SkyPlay Media Pvt. Ltd. is an early-stage performance marketing and Ad-Tech startup focused on building scalable digital platforms, internal systems, and web-based tools to support its expanding ecosystem. We are seeking a dedicated WordPress/PHP Developer to join our team full-time, working on-site. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of professional experience in WordPress and PHP development, with a strong emphasis on writing clean code, managing databases, and optimizing website performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to business needs.
- Build and manage PHP-based websites and internal tools to support various projects.
- Work extensively with MySQL databases, including writing queries and optimizing database performance.
- Debug, optimize, and maintain existing codebases to ensure smooth functionality.
- Implement best practices for security and performance across all development tasks.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in WordPress and PHP development.
- Strong understanding of PHP versions 7.4 and above, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Solid experience working with WordPress core, themes, and plugin development.
- Proficient in MySQL database design, query optimization, and management.
- Good knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and optimize website functionality effectively.
- Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities.
- Ability to leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance development processes.
