Lab Manager

A reputable organization based in Karachi is seeking an experienced Lab Manager / Lab In-Charge to oversee the operations of their Food Microbiology and Food Chemistry laboratories. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food testing and laboratory management, with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality control and compliance. This role requires hands-on leadership to ensure accurate testing, proper equipment calibration, and adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation standards. The position demands excellent supervisory skills to manage laboratory technicians and technical teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of Food Microbiology and Food Chemistry laboratories to ensure smooth workflow and timely testing.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of all laboratory testing and quality control processes.
- Manage and maintain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and quality standards.
- Supervise and guide laboratory technicians and technical staff, fostering a productive and compliant work environment.
- Oversee calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are properly documented and functioning optimally.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in food testing, food microbiology, or food chemistry laboratories.
- Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements and compliance procedures.
- Proven expertise in laboratory operations, quality control, and documentation management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise laboratory teams effectively.
- Familiarity with equipment calibration processes and quality management systems.
