Lead Backend Engineer

Texinity Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Lead Backend Engineer with over 10 years of software engineering expertise to spearhead backend architecture, development, and technical leadership. This role demands a hands-on leader who excels in designing scalable, secure backend systems and APIs, managing databases, and driving cloud infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading engineering teams, making critical technical decisions, and delivering robust production-grade applications. This position offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work based in Islamabad.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
- Define backend architecture, establish technical standards, coding practices, and development methodologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Oversee database architecture, schema design, query optimization, and data management for both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Ensure application security, optimize performance, and maintain fault tolerance and system reliability.
- Drive cloud infrastructure management, deployment strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and backend observability.
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, DevOps, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and implement quality assurance best practices.
- Mentor backend engineers, foster technical growth, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance engineering efficiency and system performance.
- Participate in technical planning, effort estimation, architecture reviews, and project delivery.
- Take ownership of critical production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term technical improvements.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in backend software development and engineering.
- Proven track record of leading backend engineering teams or serving as a technical lead on complex projects.
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, or C#.
- Extensive experience designing and building scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
- Deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Solid knowledge of system design, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and software architecture principles.
- Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong grasp of authentication, authorization, API security, encryption, and secure coding practices.
- Proficiency in monitoring, logging, performance profiling, and production troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, technical decision-making skills, and effective communication.
- Ability to balance hands-on development with leadership and mentorship responsibilities.

Compensation: Starting from Rs400,000 per month
