We are seeking a Lead Full-Stack Engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience, specializing in AI product development. The ideal candidate will have a strong product mindset and be proficient in building AI-native applications. This role requires end-to-end ownership of product areas, including technical planning, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support. The position is based in Lahore, Karachi, or Islamabad and follows a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities
- Own features and product areas from initial scoping and technical specification through to production delivery.
- Develop and maintain technical plans and specifications before starting development, adhering to Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices.
- Build scalable backend services using Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy 2.0, PostgreSQL, Alembic, Pydantic v2, Celery, and Redis.
- Create modern frontend applications with React, TypeScript, Vite, TanStack Query, and Tailwind CSS.
- Utilize Docker, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and end-to-end (E2E) testing frameworks to ensure robust deployments.
- Integrate AI coding agents such as Claude Code or similar tools into daily development workflows.
- Review and validate AI-generated code to ensure quality, security, and correctness.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
- Provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in hands-on development.
Required Qualifications
- 7 to 10 years of professional software development experience with a strong full-stack background.
- Proficiency in Python/Flask for backend development and React/TypeScript for frontend development.
- Solid experience working with PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy 2.0, and RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, AWS cloud services, CI/CD processes, automated testing, and TDD methodologies.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and AI coding agents.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with a product ownership mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with pgvector for vector similarity search in databases.
- Background in building large language model (LLM) applications or AI/Generative AI pipelines.
- Experience developing multi-tenant SaaS applications.
