Viper Group is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to oversee and manage the company’s Data Center operations, including servers, backups, disaster recovery/business continuity planning (DR/BCP), network infrastructure, firewalls, and daily troubleshooting. This role supports the head office in Islamabad as well as regional sites in Lahore and Karachi. The position involves both one-time implementation projects and ongoing maintenance tasks, with full accountability for documentation, monitoring, reporting, and ensuring SLA-based service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain servers, network devices, cloud infrastructure, and core IT systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments, including routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, and DHCP services.
- Monitor infrastructure health and promptly resolve complex technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Implement and maintain security measures such as access controls, patch management, and infrastructure hardening.
- Oversee backup, restoration, and disaster recovery processes to safeguard critical data and systems.
- Support infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and routine maintenance activities.
- Coordinate effectively with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior infrastructure team members, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, networking, systems administration, or IT operations.
- Strong hands-on expertise in networking, server administration, and cloud infrastructure management.
- Solid understanding of IT security principles, monitoring tools, backup solutions, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities combined with strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS services.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox.
- Knowledge of firewall technologies including Fortinet, Sophos, Palo Alto, or Cisco.
- Ability to maintain thorough documentation and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
- Willingness and ability to travel periodically as required.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VMware, or firewall-specific credentials are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Awareness of ITIL frameworks is considered a plus.
- Experience managing DR/BCP processes, backup solutions, and log management is highly valued.
- This is an onsite position based in Islamabad, offering flexible working hours with rotating shifts aligned to US, Australian, and Pakistan time zones (Monday to Friday).
