Edversity, a technology learning platform based at the National Science & Technology Park, NUST Islamabad, has trained over 12,000 students through live programs focused on AI, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Blockchain, and other emerging technologies. We are launching a new Data & Analytics Engineering Program and are seeking an experienced industry professional to lead this initiative. The role involves delivering a 12-week, 96-hour live course designed to equip learners with skills in analytics engineering, BI development, and data platform roles. This is a hands-on teaching position where you will conduct live sessions, review student work, run technical clinics, mentor capstone projects, and assess students for potential employer referrals. The position is structured to be compatible with a full-time engineering job.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver three live teaching sessions each week
- Lead a weekly code review and technical defense clinic
- Review student assignments and projects
- Mentor students during their capstone project development
- Conduct a production-style data incident simulation
- Ensure the curriculum remains aligned with current industry standards
- Identify graduates who are ready for employer referrals
The program curriculum covers advanced SQL and Python, data modeling and dimensional design, Snowflake and dbt, Airflow and orchestration, AWS and Azure, data testing and contracts, CI/CD for data pipelines, semantic layers and governed metrics, Apache Iceberg and lakehouse concepts, as well as Power BI and AI coding assistants.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four years’ experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform roles
- Proven experience owning or supporting production data platforms
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
- Practical experience with dbt, cloud data warehouses, and orchestration tools
- Experience managing production data incidents
- Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and metric governance
- Regular use of AI coding assistants in daily work
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Urdu
- Availability for fixed evening sessions over a 12-week period
Teaching experience, postgraduate degrees, and vendor certifications are not mandatory for this role.

This role requires a weekly commitment of approximately 14 to 17 hours, which includes live teaching, preparation, student reviews, and support. You will receive support from practitioner reviewers and a dedicated full-time cohort manager.
