Lead, Logistics Operations

We are looking for a strategic and execution-driven leader to join our regional logistics team as Lead, Logistics Operations. In this role, you will manage a dedicated team of specialists and take ownership of regional logistics operations, rider staffing frameworks, and daily performance across multiple markets. Acting as a vital link between data-driven strategy and operational execution, you will ensure rider supply aligns precisely with customer demand, maintaining high service levels while optimizing cost efficiency. Your leadership will drive improvements in delivery times, resolve operational challenges, and enhance fleet efficiency through effective forecasting, supply planning, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Logistics Operations Specialists. Foster a culture of analytical rigor, curiosity, and operational excellence, encouraging your team to challenge existing processes and solve complex marketplace challenges.

Logistics Strategy & Market Performance:
Take full ownership of logistics performance across assigned regional markets. Monitor daily trends, diagnose operational issues, and implement data-driven solutions to improve delivery times, order fulfillment, and overall customer experience.

Forecasting & Supply Planning:
Oversee daily demand planning and rider staffing frameworks. Guide your team in refining forecasting models and shift planning to ensure optimal fleet coverage, balancing service level targets with cost efficiency and cost-per-order (CPO) goals.

Process Improvement & Automation:
Promote continuous operational improvement by identifying manual bottlenecks and driving the adoption of automation, AI productivity tools, and scalable systems. This will reduce manual workloads and increase team efficiency.

Product Rollout & Project Delivery:
Lead the operational launch of new logistics products, tools, and feature enhancements across markets. Ensure smooth regional execution, conduct post-launch impact analyses, and align local operations with central product and technology teams.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Market Partnership:
Collaborate closely with Local Logistics Leaders, Finance Leaders, and Product Managers. Translate complex operational data into actionable insights for senior leadership and standardize best practices across the region.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in high-growth tech, logistics, strategy consulting, or operations management. Experience in gig economy, marketplace dynamics, or logistics is highly advantageous.
- Proven leadership experience with at least 1–2 years managing direct reports or leading complex, cross-functional projects.
- University degree in STEM, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel to audit team outputs, guide analytical strategies, and perform deep data analysis.
- Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to senior leadership, negotiate effectively, and challenge the status quo confidently.
- Demonstrated ownership, logical thinking, and accountability in previous roles.
