Lead Software Engineer

The Principal Software Engineer plays a critical role in providing technical leadership throughout the design, development, and delivery of complex software solutions. This position involves contributing to the overall architecture, leading development teams, maintaining hands-on coding responsibilities, and advocating for engineering best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze requirements, define user stories, estimate workloads, and deliver software features on schedule.
- Lead the design and development efforts for both new and existing applications.
- Contribute to application architecture decisions and help shape the technology strategy.
- Develop software primarily using object-oriented programming languages such as Java and C#.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers, fostering skill development.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards, unit testing protocols, source control, and continuous integration practices.
- Identify potential risks, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to guarantee the timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Promote continuous improvement by encouraging the adoption of design patterns and software development best practices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 9 years of professional experience in software development.
- Proven expertise in software architecture and delivering complex technical solutions.
- Recognized as a subject matter expert with strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is Rs35,000 to Rs220,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Location and Work Arrangement

This role is based in Islamabad GPO and requires candidates to reliably commute or plan to relocate prior to starting employment. The work location is in person.
