Lead Solutions Engineering (Cloud & AI)

This role is for a senior solution architect and presales professional specializing in enterprise cloud, AI, data, and private cloud solutions. The Lead Solutions Engineer will engage with customers to discover requirements, design comprehensive cloud and AI architectures, and lead technical engagements across multiple OEM portfolios. This position involves coordinating with subject matter experts from OEMs and system integrators to deliver complex enterprise cloud transformation, AI infrastructure, data platform, and private cloud solutions. Reporting directly to the Head of Presales - SI & Managed Services, the role requires close collaboration with teams across cloud, AI, compute, storage, security, networking, and data center domains.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end presales engagements for enterprise cloud, AI, data platforms, data warehouses, data lakes, private cloud, and related ICT solutions.
- Engage customers to gather and qualify requirements across business applications, workloads, AI use cases, security, scalability, governance, and operational needs.
- Design multi-OEM cloud and AI architectures, including public, private, hybrid/multi-cloud, cloud-native platforms, virtualization, container platforms, and AI infrastructure.
- Demonstrate expertise across multiple OEM portfolios such as NVIDIA, Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo, IBM, Cisco, VMware/Broadcom, Red Hat, Nutanix, Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle, Huawei, and others.
- Develop detailed architectures, workload and GPU sizing, storage and networking requirements, capacity planning, BoQ/BoM, and technical compliance documentation.
- Understand various cloud deployment models including sovereign/residency clouds and containerized environments.
- Translate AI use cases like generative AI, machine learning, inference, computer vision, NLP, and analytics into solution architectures.
- Design AI infrastructure covering GPU servers/clusters, high-performance networking/storage, virtualization/containerization, orchestration, and AI application platforms.
- Architect enterprise data platforms including data warehouses, lakes, lakehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, analytics, governance, and AI/ML data flows.
- Design private cloud platforms encompassing compute, virtualization, software-defined storage/networking, automation, orchestration, self-service, multi-tenancy, monitoring, backup/DR, and lifecycle management.
- Lead customer workshops, technical presentations, discovery sessions, solution demos, PoC discussions, and AI/cloud use-case workshops.
- Prepare and lead technical responses for RFI/RFQ/RFP/tender opportunities, including requirement analysis, compliance mapping, deviations, assumptions, sizing, and solution narratives.
- Collaborate with OEMs, distributors, partners, and system integrators to validate designs, clarify technical details, develop configurations, and support commercial proposals.
- Coordinate cross-domain SMEs to create integrated end-to-end solutions.
- Identify opportunities for cloud transformation, AI adoption, data modernization, and emerging technologies by understanding customer environments and future needs.
- Support account teams in opportunity qualification, solution positioning, and customer engagement strategies without limiting solutions to a single OEM.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud architectures, AI infrastructure, GPU technologies, data platforms, containers/Kubernetes, automation, observability, cloud security, FinOps, and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in enterprise cloud, AI, data platforms, solution architecture, presales, or technical consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, AI, Data Science, Cloud Computing, or related fields.
- Proven multi-OEM experience with vendors such as NVIDIA, HPE, Dell Technologies, Lenovo, IBM, Cisco, VMware/Broadcom, Red Hat, Nutanix, Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle, Huawei, or equivalents.
- Strong understanding of cloud deployment models: public, private, hybrid, multi-cloud, hosted, and cloud-native platforms.
- Deep knowledge of AI concepts, enterprise AI use cases, machine learning, generative AI, inference/training workloads, and AI application architectures.
- Hands-on or strong solution-level knowledge of GPU servers and AI infrastructure including NVIDIA GPU platforms, clusters, high-speed interconnects, virtualization/containerization, and orchestration.
- Expertise in data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architectures, data integration, ETL/ELT, analytics, governance, and AI/ML pipelines.
- Comprehensive understanding of private cloud platforms, virtualization, software-defined infrastructure, containers/Kubernetes, automation, orchestration, self-service, multi-tenancy, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, Red Hat, Nutanix, HPE, Dell, NVIDIA, or equivalent cloud/AI/data platform certifications are highly preferred.
- Experience working with OEMs, distributors, partners, and system integrators on technical workshops, solution validation, sizing, and configuration development.
- Demonstrated customer-facing experience in requirements gathering, technical discovery, presentations, workshops, RFI/RFQ/RFP responses, and PoC activities.
- Experience in enterprise tender consulting including requirement interpretation, compliance mapping, solution positioning, BoQ validation, and clarification management.
- Ability to lead engagements end-to-end and coordinate multiple internal and external SMEs across cloud, AI, data, compute, storage, networking, security, and application domains.
- Excellent communication, presentation, technical writing, stakeholder management, and commercial awareness skills.
