Lead Solutions Engineering (Cloud & AI)

The Lead Solutions Engineer – Cloud & AI is a senior solution architect and presales expert responsible for driving enterprise cloud, AI, data, and private cloud solution discovery, architecture, and customer engagement. This role involves working across multiple OEM portfolios to generate customer requirements, develop comprehensive cloud and AI solutions, and lead technical discussions. The position requires collaboration with various subject matter experts in cloud, AI, data, compute, storage, security, and networking to address complex enterprise transformation needs. Reporting to the Head of Presales – SI & Managed Services, the role plays a key part in shaping end-to-end cloud and AI architectures for large-scale customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead presales engagements covering enterprise cloud, AI, data platforms, data warehouses, data lakes, private cloud, and related ICT solutions.
- Engage with customers to gather and qualify requirements across business applications, workloads, AI use cases, security, scalability, governance, and operational needs.
- Design multi-vendor cloud and AI architectures including public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments, virtualization, container platforms, and AI infrastructure.
- Demonstrate expertise across multiple OEM portfolios such as NVIDIA, Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo, IBM, Cisco, VMware/Broadcom, Red Hat, Nutanix, Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle, and Huawei.
- Develop detailed architectures, workload and GPU sizing, storage and networking requirements, capacity planning, and technical compliance documentation.
- Translate AI use cases into solution architectures involving generative AI, machine learning, inference, training, computer vision, NLP, and analytics.
- Design AI infrastructure including GPU servers/clusters, high-performance networking and storage, virtualization/container orchestration, and AI application platforms.
- Architect enterprise data platforms encompassing data warehouses, lakes, lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT processes, analytics, governance, and AI/ML pipelines.
- Create private cloud solutions covering compute, virtualization, software-defined storage/networking, automation, orchestration, self-service, multi-tenancy, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Lead customer workshops, technical presentations, discovery sessions, solution demonstrations, and proof-of-concept discussions.
- Prepare and manage technical responses for RFI/RFQ/RFP/tender processes including requirement analysis, compliance mapping, and solution narratives.
- Collaborate with OEMs, distributors, partners, and system integrators to validate designs, clarify technical details, and support commercial proposals.
- Coordinate cross-domain SMEs to deliver integrated end-to-end solutions.
- Identify opportunities for cloud transformation, AI adoption, data modernization, and emerging technology integration.
- Support account teams in opportunity qualification, solution positioning, and customer engagement strategies.
- Stay current with evolving cloud architectures, AI infrastructure, GPU technologies, data platforms, containerization, automation, security, FinOps, and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

- 6–8 years of experience in enterprise cloud, AI, data platform architecture, presales, or technical consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, AI, Data Science, Cloud Computing, or related fields.
- Extensive multi-OEM experience with technologies from NVIDIA, HPE, Dell, Lenovo, IBM, Cisco, VMware/Broadcom, Red Hat, Nutanix, Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle, Huawei, or equivalents.
- Strong understanding of cloud deployment models including public, private, hybrid, multi-cloud, hosted, and cloud-native platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of AI concepts, enterprise AI use cases, machine learning, generative AI, inference/training workloads, and AI application architectures.
- Hands-on or strong solution-level expertise with GPU servers, AI infrastructure, virtualization/container orchestration, and AI storage.
- Proficient in data warehouse, data lake, lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT, analytics, data governance, and AI/ML pipelines.
- Solid understanding of private cloud technologies including virtualization, software-defined infrastructure, containers/Kubernetes, automation, orchestration, self-service, multi-tenancy, and lifecycle management.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, Red Hat, Nutanix, HPE, Dell, or NVIDIA are highly preferred.
- Experience collaborating with OEMs, distributors, partners, and system integrators on technical workshops, solution validation, sizing, and configuration.
- Proven customer-facing experience in requirement gathering, technical discovery, presentations, workshops, tender responses, and PoC activities.
- Expertise in enterprise tender consulting including requirement interpretation, compliance mapping, solution positioning, and technical clarifications.
- Ability to lead end-to-end engagements and coordinate multiple internal and external SMEs across technology domains.
- Excellent communication, presentation, technical writing, stakeholder management, and commercial awareness skills.
