The Senior Linux & Infrastructure Administrator will play a critical role in managing and supporting Tasdeeq's enterprise server and infrastructure environment. This position focuses primarily on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers, Nginx load balancers, VMware virtualization, enterprise storage solutions, backup, and disaster recovery operations. The role involves administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of both production and disaster recovery environments.

Key Responsibilities

RHEL / Linux Administration:
Manage and troubleshoot production RHEL Linux servers, including OS installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades. Handle user and permission management, including sudo and SSH/SFTP access. Diagnose and resolve issues related to CPU, memory, disk, filesystems, boot processes, and applications. Manage software packages using RPM, YUM, or DNF. Analyze system logs via journalctl and /var/log. Administer LVM, partitions, filesystems, and mount points, including filesystem expansion and storage troubleshooting. Configure and troubleshoot SELinux and firewalld. Implement Linux security hardening and address vulnerabilities.

Nginx Load Balancer Administration:
Oversee Nginx load balancers running on RHEL virtual machines. Configure upstream servers, backend pools, and virtual hosts, including HTTP/HTTPS load balancing. Manage SSL/TLS certificates, including CSR generation, installation, renewal, and troubleshooting certificate-chain or TLS handshake issues. Set up health checks and backend failover mechanisms. Resolve common Nginx errors such as 502, 503, and 504. Analyze access and error logs, perform configuration updates, and conduct controlled reloads. Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving Nginx, backend servers, network, and firewall components.

VMware ESXi / vSphere:
Administer and troubleshoot Linux virtual machines hosted on VMware ESXi/vSphere platforms. Create and configure VMs, manage CPU, memory, disk, and network resources. Address VM performance and connectivity issues. Understand VMware datastores and virtual disk provisioning. Collaborate with the virtualization team on ESXi-related concerns.

Dell SAN / Enterprise Storage:
Support Dell enterprise SAN and storage infrastructure. Understand LUNs, datastores, RAID configurations, multipathing, and storage provisioning. Troubleshoot storage connectivity for Linux servers and VMware environments. Coordinate storage allocation and expansion efforts. Monitor storage capacity and identify performance bottlenecks.

Backup & Disaster Recovery:
Manage Linux server backup and restoration processes. Troubleshoot backup failures and participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and recovery activities. Maintain documentation related to server and service recovery procedures.

Automation & Monitoring:
Develop and maintain Bash/Shell scripts to automate routine Linux administration and monitoring tasks. Basic knowledge of Ansible is preferred. Monitor server, service, and infrastructure health continuously. Participate actively in incident response and root-cause analysis.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration, particularly with RHEL production environments.
- Strong practical skills in RHEL Linux server management, Nginx load balancer administration, and enterprise infrastructure support.
- Experience with VMware ESXi/vSphere and enterprise storage solutions.
- Proficient in troubleshooting complex system, network, and application issues.
- Solid understanding of security practices including SELinux, firewalld, and Linux hardening.
- Skilled in Bash/Shell scripting and basic automation.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification is preferred.
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is highly preferred.
- VMware certifications are considered an advantage.
- Additional relevant Linux or cloud certifications are advantageous.
