Linux Server Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Linux Server Administrator / Hosting Engineer with Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting Linux servers, web hosting environments, virtualization platforms, networking, and production infrastructure. This role requires strong hands-on Linux administration experience and the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve critical production server issues. The position is based in our Lahore office and demands a proactive approach to maintaining server stability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Linux servers running RHEL, AlmaLinux, CloudLinux, and CentOS.
- Administer and troubleshoot cPanel/WHM hosting servers.
- Oversee virtualization environments including Proxmox VE and Virtualizor.
- Monitor server performance, uptime, resource utilization, backups, and security measures.
- Troubleshoot issues related to CPU load, memory, storage, disk I/O, network, and services.
- Resolve problems involving WordPress, PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, DNS, SSL, and email systems.
- Conduct server migrations, backups, restorations, and disaster recovery operations.
- Investigate and mitigate malware infections, security incidents, abuse complaints, and DDoS attacks.
- Configure and manage firewalls, networking, NAT, IP addressing, and overall server security.
- Perform server hardening and implement security improvements.
- Optimize server performance, stability, and reliability continuously.
- Provide technical support for escalated server and hosting issues.
- Conduct root-cause analysis beyond standard troubleshooting procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, changes, and incidents.

Required Qualifications
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification is mandatory.
- Proven hands-on experience in Linux server administration, particularly with RHEL or Red Hat-based systems.
- Strong command-line Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Practical experience managing cPanel/WHM servers.
- Experience with Proxmox VE and Virtualizor virtualization platforms.
- Solid understanding of Linux networking and server security principles.

Technical Skills
- Expertise with RHEL, AlmaLinux, CloudLinux, CentOS.
- Proficiency in cPanel/WHM, Proxmox VE, Virtualizor.
- Knowledge of web servers such as Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed.
- Familiarity with PHP, MySQL/MariaDB databases.
- Experience with DNS/DNSSEC, SSL/TLS, SMTP, IMAP, POP3 protocols.
- Ability to manage firewalls, NAT, TCP/IP networking, RAID, and storage.
- Skilled in server backups, restoration, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Competence in WordPress troubleshooting, malware detection/removal, server hardening, and DDoS mitigation.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is an advantage.
- Experience working in hosting companies or data centers.
- Exposure to large-scale cPanel/WHM administration.
- Knowledge of CloudLinux, LiteSpeed, Proxmox clustering, and Virtualizor.
- Skills in Bash scripting, automation tools like Ansible, containerization with Docker, and version control using Git.
- Advanced networking knowledge and experience with server monitoring systems.
- Background in handling security incidents and DDoS attacks.

We are looking for a technically strong Linux Server Administrator who goes beyond basic hosting support and standard troubleshooting. The ideal candidate must be capable of deep system-level understanding, root-cause analysis, and confident management of critical production infrastructure. Reliability, security awareness, and the ability to work effectively under pressure during outages or incidents are essential.

Compensation and Work Location
- Monthly salary range: PKR 80,000 to PKR 150,000.
- Full-time position based at our Lahore office.

Candidates must have RHCSA certification and practical Linux server administration experience. Experience with hosting infrastructure, cPanel/WHM, Proxmox VE, and Virtualizor is highly preferred.
