Logistics Coordinator – Freight Forwarding (Air & Sea)

Innovations Logistics Inc. Canada is looking for a skilled Logistics Coordinator specializing in freight forwarding to manage international shipments for our Canadian operations. This role focuses on handling both air and ocean freight shipments, including Less than Container Load (LCL) and Full Container Load (FCL). The successful candidate will coordinate with global partners and ensure shipments are executed efficiently and in compliance with international trade terms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage international shipments via air and sea, covering both LCL and FCL shipments.
- Handle bookings with shipping lines, airlines, and overseas agents to secure timely transport.
- Prepare, review, and verify shipping documents such as Bills of Lading (BL), Air Waybills (AWB), invoices, and packing lists.
- Ensure all shipments comply with relevant Incoterms and international shipping regulations.
- Track shipments throughout transit and provide regular updates to customers and internal teams.
- Liaise with customs brokers, carriers, and agents to facilitate smooth customs clearance and delivery processes.
- Manage freight rates, quotations, and cost calculations to optimize shipping expenses.
- Address shipment delays, discrepancies, and operational challenges promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records and update internal logistics systems to reflect shipment status and documentation.

Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics coordination roles.
- Strong understanding of air freight and ocean freight operations, including LCL and FCL shipments.
- Good knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping procedures.
- Experience preparing and managing shipping documentation and coordinating with overseas agents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with logistics management systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and strong organizational abilities.
