Logistics Manager

An international company in the dietary supplements industry is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee and manage last-mile delivery operations in Pakistan. This role is critical in ensuring that orders are delivered efficiently from the moment they are ready for shipment until they reach the customer successfully. The company operates on a Cash on Delivery (COD) model, where customers pay the courier upon delivery. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and operationally strong, coordinating couriers, confirmation operators, warehouse staff, and outsourced delivery services to maintain accurate delivery statuses and reports while swiftly addressing any issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and adjust delivery routes daily, distributing orders among couriers based on geography, urgency, workload, and delivery time windows.
- Monitor courier departures, route completions, and ensure delivery deadlines are met during shifts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date order statuses in the delivery system, documenting reasons for failed deliveries, returns, cancellations, or rescheduling.
- Verify that only confirmed and correctly processed orders proceed to delivery, providing feedback to confirmation operators regarding data errors.
- Oversee warehouse picking processes and ensure timely, accurate handover of orders to couriers, including packaging quality.
- Manage outsourced delivery services, monitoring their performance and ensuring service standards are met.
- Quickly resolve delivery issues and escalate critical failures to management as necessary.
- Generate detailed reports on deliveries, returns, delays, segmented by day, route, courier, and zone, and suggest process improvements.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 1 year experience in logistics, delivery, dispatching, last-mile operations, or operational coordination.
- Strong understanding of routing, order distribution, courier workload management, and delivery time windows.
- Proficient in working with CRM/ERP systems, Excel or Google Sheets, digital maps, and communication tools such as messengers.
- Exceptional attention to detail regarding order statuses, addresses, comments, and payment methods.
- Ability to make quick operational decisions while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Clear and effective communication skills with couriers, operators, warehouse personnel, and management.
- Good knowledge of local geography and transport infrastructure.
- Willingness to work onsite in Karachi with availability for two duty Saturdays per month.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience specifically in last-mile delivery, courier coordination, or warehouse-to-courier handover processes.
- Familiarity with COD delivery operations.
- Experience working with outsourced delivery or courier companies.
- Proven track record of building delivery performance reports by courier, route, or zone.
- Demonstrated success in reducing failed deliveries, returns, or customer complaints in previous roles.
