Long-Form Video Editor

PakWheels is seeking a skilled Long-Form Video Editor to produce compelling and high-quality automotive content primarily for YouTube. The ideal candidate will possess strong storytelling abilities, excellent pacing, and advanced visual editing skills, with a solid understanding of audience retention strategies. This role demands creativity and technical expertise to bring automotive stories to life through engaging video formats such as car reviews, documentaries, and road trips.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit long-form automotive videos including car reviews, comparisons, road trips, documentaries, interviews, podcasts, and event coverage.
- Develop captivating hooks and maintain a smooth storytelling flow using pacing, B-roll footage, motion graphics, text overlays, transitions, music, and sound effects.
- Work with multi-camera setups and 4K footage while ensuring professional video and audio quality standards.
- Perform audio cleanup, sound balancing, color correction, and basic color grading to enhance the final output.
- Optimize videos to maximize YouTube watch time, audience retention, and overall engagement.
- Collaborate effectively with content creators, producers, hosts, writers, designers, and social media teams to align on creative vision and project goals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, handling revisions, deadlines, large media files, and maintaining organized workflows.
- Take full ownership of the editing process and proactively contribute creative ideas to elevate the content quality.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio showcasing long-form video storytelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable professional video editing software.
- Solid understanding of YouTube platform dynamics and digital content best practices.
- Expertise in pacing, storytelling, audio editing, and visual editing techniques.
- Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for automotive and digital content.
