Key Responsibilities
The LPG Cylinder Technician will be based on-site in Islamabad and is responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining LPG cylinders and related equipment according to safety standards and company procedures. This includes verifying cylinder condition and labeling, setting up cylinders, and supporting safe storage and stacking practices. Daily tasks involve installing LPG cylinders, coordinating with the operations team for delivery schedules, documenting inspection and maintenance activities, and promptly reporting any safety or quality concerns. The technician will assist with basic troubleshooting of leaks or faulty valves, adhere to emergency response protocols, and communicate effectively with team members to ensure safe and efficient LPG distribution operations.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess technical skills related to LPG cylinders and equipment, including basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools used for inspection and maintenance. A solid understanding of gas handling procedures and LPG safety standards is essential, along with the ability to identify hazards and properly use personal protective equipment. Operational skills such as following delivery schedules, managing cylinder inventory, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with drivers and warehouse staff are required. Strong communication and teamwork abilities are necessary to follow instructions and collaborate across departments. Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving cylinders, working outdoors or in warehouse environments, and standing for extended periods, is also important.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Relevant experience in LPG, gas distribution, or similar technical or field operations environments is preferred. Basic education such as secondary school completion or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial fields is an advantage. Candidates should be willing to work shifts as needed, follow emergency procedures, and participate in ongoing safety and technical training to support continuous improvement and compliance.
