LPR Assistant Manager – Retail Sector

The Loss Prevention & Risk Management team is seeking an Assistant Manager with 2 to 4 years of experience in retail loss prevention, ideally within a supermarket or cash & carry setting. This role involves overseeing security operations to minimize theft, fraud, and inventory shrinkage while ensuring compliance with company policies. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments, including Store Operations, Warehouse, Receiving, and Security, to maintain a safe and secure retail environment. Strong observation, investigation, and reporting skills are essential, along with the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced retail atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor CCTV surveillance to ensure comprehensive coverage of all critical areas within the store.
- Prevent theft, pilferage, fraud, inventory shrinkage, and losses caused by internal or external factors.
- Supervise and guide the Loss Prevention & Risk Management (LPR) staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and security procedures.
- Conduct regular store inspections to identify operational risks and report any suspicious activities promptly.
- Oversee receiving, dispatch, stock movement, and other high-risk areas to prevent losses.
- Maintain detailed CCTV logs, incident reports, investigation records, and other loss prevention documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Store Operations, Warehouse, Receiving, and Security teams to strengthen loss prevention efforts.
- Investigate incidents thoroughly, review CCTV footage, and present findings to management for further action.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and loss prevention standards.
- Prepare daily and monthly performance reports related to loss prevention and recommend corrective measures where necessary.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree is preferred; however, relevant work experience will also be considered.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in retail loss prevention or security operations, preferably in a supermarket or cash & carry environment.
- Strong skills in CCTV monitoring, incident investigation, reporting, and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication skills, keen observation, and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experience in preparing detailed reports.
- Demonstrated honesty, vigilance, discipline, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced retail setting.

Compensation and Work Location

The position offers a monthly salary range of Rs30,000 to Rs92,000. This is an in-person role requiring the candidate to be present at the designated work location.
