Manager Basis

The Manager Basis will be responsible for overseeing SAP Basis operations along with managing enterprise systems, email, servers, and related IT infrastructure. This role ensures the availability, performance, security, backup, monitoring, and smooth functioning of SAP and other critical IT systems across the organization. The position requires close coordination with various teams to maintain system integrity and support business continuity for GFG companies.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage SAP Basis administration for SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and related SAP environments, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
- Conduct system monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity management to maintain efficient operations.
- Oversee SAP transports, system refreshes, patches, upgrades, and kernel updates to keep systems current and secure.
- Administer SAP users, roles, and authorizations, collaborating with Security and Functional teams to maintain compliance and access control.
- Handle SAP HANA database operations including backups, monitoring, and routine housekeeping tasks.
- Coordinate SAP production, disaster recovery (DR), and high-availability (HA) activities to ensure business continuity.
- Ensure SAP systems comply with security policies, audit requirements, and business continuity standards.
- Liaise with SAP and other vendors to resolve incidents, manage upgrades, and address technical issues promptly.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SAP Basis and overall systems operations.
- Implement effective incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Maintain accurate system inventory, license information, and support contracts.
- Monitor service level agreement (SLA) performance for both internal teams and external vendors.
- Participate in IT audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Provide regular reports on system availability, incidents, capacity, risks, and ongoing operational activities.
- Support IT projects related to SAP, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business applications.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in SAP Basis administration and enterprise systems/infrastructure management.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, HANA database, system monitoring, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Experience managing servers, backups, disaster recovery, high availability, enterprise email systems, and IT security frameworks.
- Solid understanding of SAP security, audit controls, incident and change management, as well as vendor and SLA management.

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP Basis and HANA certification is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
