We are seeking an experienced Master Mariner with a strong background in both sea-going and shore-based commercial operations within the dry bulk shipping sector. The ideal candidate will have sailed in a senior capacity and gained at least one year of shore experience in the commercial division of a reputable dry bulk vessel owning company, commercial operator, or commercial management firm. This role involves direct responsibility for handling pre- and post-fixture activities. Alternatively, candidates holding a Master’s Degree in any discipline from an HEC-recognized institute with a minimum of eight years of shore experience in a similar commercial capacity will also be considered. The position requires a professional who can effectively manage commercial operations and contribute to the overall success of the company’s dry bulk fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee pre-fixture and post-fixture commercial activities related to dry bulk vessels.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including vessel owners, charterers, and brokers to ensure smooth commercial operations.
- Analyze and negotiate charter party terms and conditions to optimize vessel utilization and profitability.
- Monitor market trends and provide insights to support strategic decision-making within the commercial division.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout all commercial processes.
- Collaborate closely with operations, technical, and finance teams to facilitate efficient vessel deployment and cost control.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to fixture negotiations and voyage performance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Master Mariner certification with sailing experience in a senior capacity.
- Minimum of one year shore experience in the commercial division of a reputable dry bulk vessel owning company, commercial operator, or commercial management company, with direct involvement in pre- and post-fixture activities.

- Master’s Degree in any discipline from an HEC-recognized institute.
- Minimum of eight years of shore experience in the commercial division of a reputable dry bulk vessel owning company, commercial operator, or commercial management company, with direct responsibility for handling pre- and post-fixture activities.
- Strong understanding of dry bulk shipping markets and commercial operations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
