The Mashreq cloud platform team is looking for an experienced Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Subject Matter Expert to lead cloud cost optimization initiatives and develop cost-effective strategies across the organization. This role requires close collaboration with finance, IT, engineering, and business units to drive cost reduction efforts and ensure efficient resource allocation. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud, a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation tools, and multi-cloud environments, supported by relevant industry certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cloud cost optimization strategies and initiatives to maximize value and reduce unnecessary expenditures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, IT, engineering, and business units to align cloud spending with organizational goals.
- Manage cloud infrastructure incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to maintain high availability.
- Make informed technical decisions that ensure compliance with cloud governance policies and industry best practices.
- Drive automation efforts using Infrastructure as Code tools to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.
- Monitor cloud resource utilization continuously and recommend improvements to optimize performance and cost.
- Support the development and enforcement of cloud governance frameworks and standards.
- Provide expert guidance on multi-cloud environments and integration strategies.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team and across departments.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience working with Azure cloud platforms, including hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure management.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools and automation frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of multi-cloud environments and cloud cost management techniques.
- Relevant certifications related to Azure cloud and cloud infrastructure (such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or equivalent).
- Proven ability to analyze complex technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with a strong focus on detail and analytical thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive interpersonal relationships across diverse teams.
