Manager Cloud Infrastructure

We are looking for a seasoned Linux and Private Cloud Administrator to lead the management of enterprise Linux infrastructure and private cloud environments. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, optimizing performance, maintaining security compliance, and driving operational excellence across both on-premises and cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Linux server administration, virtualization, cloud platform management, automation, patching, monitoring, and disaster recovery. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as network, database, storage, backup, and security is essential to maintain a resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure that supports mission-critical applications and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and architect cloud-based solutions aligned with organizational goals, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Develop and document cloud architecture patterns, standards, and guidelines, including detailed architecture diagrams.
- Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies and industry trends, providing expert guidance on selecting appropriate cloud services and tools.
- Lead the implementation of cloud solutions, coordinating with development, operations, and security teams to ensure proper configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency while enforcing security best practices such as identity and access management, encryption, and compliance.
- Manage and administer enterprise Kubernetes environments including Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE), upstream Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, and Rancher for multi-cluster orchestration.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain containerized applications, handling cluster scaling, RBAC policies, ingress configurations, storage classes, and namespace management.
- Administer virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and KVM, overseeing VM provisioning, performance tuning, snapshots, replication, and high availability setups.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Implement configuration management and deployment automation with Ansible, covering patch management, server hardening, and application deployments.
- Design and execute Linux patching automation strategies, including rolling updates, kernel upgrades, security patching, and compliance validation.
- Install, configure, and support web and application servers such as IIS, Apache Tomcat, JBoss EAP, and WildFly.
- Perform performance tuning, log analysis, SSL configuration, deployment troubleshooting, and environment upgrades for enterprise web applications.
- Monitor system health, ensure high availability, implement backup strategies, and maintain security best practices across Linux and cloud environments.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance cloud architecture and deployment practices.
- Manage the team, ensure compliance with financial sector regulations, and maintain 99.999% uptime.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Linux and cloud administration.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise-scale, mission-critical environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Ability to operate within structured escalation models.
- Expertise in incident management and root cause analysis.
- Proactive approach to capacity planning and optimization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in SLA-driven environments.
