ACE Money Transfer is a global FinTech company specializing in online remittance services, operating across 29 countries in the UK, Europe, Canada, and Australia. ACE Money Transfer Limited Ireland is seeking a Manager, Compliance to support the Group MLRO and Head of Compliance in ensuring adherence to anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and other financial crime prevention regulations. This role involves identifying regulatory risks, reviewing policies, supporting Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) submissions, and overseeing investigations related to financial crime compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of AML, CTF, and financial crime-related policies and regulatory requirements across Ireland and applicable international offices.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of management information used to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate financial crime risks across all products and jurisdictions.
- Assess financial crime risks associated with products, services, customers, and business activities, and assist in developing effective risk management strategies and controls.
- Communicate financial crime compliance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to relevant departments and business functions.
- Stay informed about emerging financial crime trends, typologies, regulatory developments, and industry best practices, recommending measures to address new risks.
- Prepare and present regular reports on financial crime risks, incidents, investigations, regulatory changes, and mitigation efforts to the Head of Compliance and MLRO.
- Assist the MLRO in preparing and submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to Irish authorities and other relevant Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs).
- Ensure financial crime compliance considerations are integrated into new partnerships, agreements, products, and business relationships.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and contractual obligations to support ongoing compliance.
- Monitor regulatory policies, supervisory expectations, and enforcement strategies related to Money Services Business (MSB) operations in Ireland and other jurisdictions, advising the Head of Compliance on emerging risks.
- Oversee the implementation of systems, software, and technology to support transaction monitoring, screening, reporting, and management of financial crime risks.
- Lead internal investigations into financial crime compliance issues, ensuring effective resolution of identified matters.
- Assist internal and external auditors during financial crime-related reviews and audits by providing necessary information and access.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, Risk, Legal, Product, Technology, and other departments to identify and remediate compliance gaps.
- Support the development and enhancement of financial crime risk assessments, policies, procedures, controls, and monitoring frameworks.
- Track compliance issues and remediation actions, ensuring timely implementation of corrective measures.
- Provide guidance and support to business functions on financial crime compliance, fostering a strong culture of compliance throughout the organisation.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial crime compliance, AML, or CTF within a regulated financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of Irish, EU, and international AML/CTF laws, regulations, and supervisory expectations.
- Experience supporting MLRO functions, including SAR preparation and submission.
- Ability to assess and manage financial crime risks across multiple products and jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across multiple departments.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, with experience leading compliance investigations.
- Proficiency in compliance monitoring systems, transaction screening, and reporting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
