ACE Money Transfer Limited Ireland, a leading global FinTech company specializing in online remittance services across 29 countries, is seeking a Manager, Compliance. This role supports the Group MLRO and Head of Compliance in ensuring strict adherence to anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and other financial crime prevention regulations. The Manager will play a critical role in identifying regulatory risks, reviewing policies, assisting with Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), and overseeing financial crime investigations to effectively mitigate risks within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of AML, CTF, and financial crime policies and regulatory requirements across Ireland and relevant international offices.
- Maintain accurate management information to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate financial crime risks across all products and jurisdictions.
- Assess risks related to products, services, customers, and business activities, assisting in the development of strategies and controls to manage these risks effectively.
- Communicate financial crime compliance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to relevant departments and business functions.
- Stay updated on emerging financial crime trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices, proactively recommending measures to address new risks.
- Prepare and present regular reports on financial crime risks, incidents, investigations, and mitigation strategies to senior compliance leadership.
- Assist the MLRO in preparing and submitting SARs to Irish authorities and other relevant Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs).
- Ensure financial crime compliance considerations are integrated into new partnerships, agreements, products, and business relationships.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable financial crime laws, regulations, guidance, and contractual obligations to support ongoing compliance efforts.
- Monitor regulatory policies and supervisory expectations related to Money Services Business (MSB) operations in Ireland and other jurisdictions, advising on emerging risks.
- Ensure appropriate systems and technology are in place for effective transaction monitoring, screening, reporting, and management of financial crime risks.
- Lead internal investigations into financial crime compliance issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Support internal and external auditors during financial crime-related reviews and audits by providing necessary documentation and access.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, Risk, Legal, Product, Technology, and other teams to identify and remediate compliance gaps.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and enhancing financial crime risk assessments, policies, procedures, controls, and monitoring frameworks.
- Track compliance issues and remediation actions, ensuring corrective measures are implemented within required timelines.
- Provide guidance and support to business functions on financial crime compliance matters, promoting a strong culture of compliance across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of management-level experience in compliance, AML/CFT, financial crime, risk management, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, financial crime, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Good understanding of Irish and EU financial services regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with Central Bank of Ireland regulatory expectations and AML/CFT standards.
- Experience in transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer due diligence (CDD/KYC).
- Proven ability to support MLRO functions and prepare or review Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
- Strong risk assessment, investigation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent report writing, management information (MI), and presentation capabilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working alongside senior management and cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to manage compliance investigations, regulatory reviews, audits, and remediation activities.
- Strong project and time-management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and deadlines.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with compliance monitoring or financial crime systems is advantageous.
