We are currently seeking a Manager for Finance Operations and Controllership to lead financial processes and team management within one of our verticals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including month-end and quarter-end close activities. Manage accounts receivable aging and reporting in compliance with corporate policies, as well as billing and collections data. Oversee fixed assets management and maintain precise balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure payables are processed following the invoice approval process and manage treasury functions such as cash receipt application, bank reconciliations, and collections.
Review customer contracts to assess IFRS 15 implications, including variable consideration, contract modifications, and multi-element arrangements, ensuring consistent and well-documented accounting judgments. Maintain journal entry review and approval standards with appropriate support and timely resolution of reconciling items. Own lease accounting under IFRS 16, including right-of-use asset and lease liability calculations, remeasurements, and reconciliations.
Train, organize, and supervise the finance team, setting goals and conducting performance reviews. Update and maintain standard operating procedures for all financial reporting processes. Foster strong team cohesion through regular one-on-one meetings and team discussions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to automate financial reporting processes where possible. Draft and maintain accounting policy memos for significant or judgmental transactions to support audit readiness and consistency.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in finance leadership roles, including team management. Strong financial knowledge within the software or IT industry, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and guidelines. Expertise in IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) and IFRS 16 (Leases) is essential. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and business analytical skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint, is expected. A professional accounting designation is mandatory.
