We are looking for an experienced Manager for Finishing Work and Quality Control to lead and oversee the finishing activities across various construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all finishing works, including plaster, paint, tiles, woodwork, and ceilings, meet company standards, project specifications, and deadlines. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple teams to deliver projects on time and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor all finishing work related to interior finishes, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks throughout the project lifecycle to maintain required standards. Manage project timelines by coordinating with site engineers, contractors, and suppliers to avoid delays and ensure timely completion of finishing tasks. Plan, assign, and supervise daily finishing activities for site teams while tracking progress against project milestones. Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other departments to facilitate smooth project execution and promptly resolve any issues. Prepare detailed progress reports and provide regular updates to management regarding the status of finishing works.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is essential. A minimum of 7 years of experience in finishing work and quality assurance/quality control within the construction industry is required, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of finishing techniques, materials, and quality control processes, along with familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations. Proven leadership skills are necessary to motivate teams, manage performance, and drive results. Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines, are critical. Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions effectively are expected. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required for effective interaction with internal teams, clients, and vendors. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards are essential. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, integrity, sound decision-making abilities under pressure, and adaptability to changing project requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required, and familiarity with ERP systems is considered a plus.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma will be considered an advantage. The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs150,000 to Rs200,000. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Lahore.
