Reporting to the Head of Quality and Monitoring, the Manager of Quality and Monitoring plays a pivotal role in supporting and overseeing hospital-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical and service quality. This position involves close collaboration with Medical and Nursing leadership to drive accreditation processes related to JCIA, reinforce clinical governance, and ensure high standards of patient care throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate JCIA-related quality initiatives, including the development of institutional policies and conducting audits to evaluate performance improvement across various hospital departments. Provide expert advice on risk management and quality improvement strategies, transforming these into practical, actionable plans. Ensure hospital-wide compliance with standards set by the Joint Commission, Sindh Health Commission, and Punjab Health Commission.
Manage quality-related projects comprehensively, from initial formation through to post-implementation support. Conduct root-cause analyses of system failures and spearhead process improvements to enhance overall performance. Review clinical audit reports regularly, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliver training sessions on Quality Improvement tools such as FOCUS-PDCA.
Monitor, analyze, and report on clinical practices, operational processes, incident reporting, and environmental factors with a focus on patient safety. Analyze quality indicators, audit findings, and performance data to support evidence-based decision-making. Collaborate effectively with both clinical and non-clinical departments to improve patient care processes and promote operational excellence. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold an MBBS, BDS, D-Pharm, DPT, or BSN degree, complemented by an MBA, MSN, Master’s in Healthcare Management, or MS in Public Health. A minimum of eight years’ experience in a healthcare institution or a related field is essential, with proven exposure to quality management and accreditation processes. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are required, along with excellent communication abilities in both English and Urdu. Proficiency in MS Office and Quality Management System (QMS) tools is also necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Possession of a Diploma or Certification in Healthcare Quality or the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) credential is highly desirable. Candidates with an MBA in Health Management or a Master’s in Public Health combined with CPHQ certification will be given preference.
