The Management Auditor plays a critical role in independently assessing the bank’s internal controls, governance frameworks, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position involves conducting risk-based financial and management audits across various departments to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory adherence. A key focus is to verify the bank’s compliance with the implementation of IFRS 9 standards, particularly in areas such as Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations, loan classification, staging, and impairment provisioning. The auditor also evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls and supports continuous improvement by identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct risk-based internal audits covering HR, Risk Management, Complaint Management, CPU/Back Office Operations, Recovery, Legal, Finance, and other Head Office functions.
- Perform detailed financial audits with a strong emphasis on IFRS 9 compliance, including reviewing ECL calculations, loan classifications, staging, impairment provisioning, and validating key assumptions and underlying data.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and adherence to approved policies and procedures.
- Identify control weaknesses and assess associated risks, preparing comprehensive audit reports that include practical recommendations and clear corrective action plans.
- Review and supervise the work of audit subordinates to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and escalate significant or unresolved issues to the Head of Internal Audit.

Required Qualifications

- Professional qualifications such as CA (Intermediate or Finalist), ACCA, MBA, M.Com, ICMA, or BBA.
- A minimum of 5 to 8+ years of experience in internal or external audit, risk management, or financial advisory roles within the banking or financial services sector.
