Manager, MCA Revenue

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and US GAAP, including journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, and contract assets/liabilities, ensuring balance-sheet reconciliations are completed within the close calendar.
- Prepare technical accounting memos and position papers addressing complex topics such as variable consideration, principal versus agent determinations, contract modifications, and financing components.
- Develop and maintain revenue schedules and ASC 606 disclosures, including revenue disaggregation, remaining performance obligations (RPO), and contract balances for management, Board, and annual financial reporting.
- Conduct detailed flux and variance analyses comparing month-over-month, quarter-over-quarter, and budget-versus-actual results, providing insightful commentary for leadership.
- Oversee accurate and timely billing processes across various revenue models, including subscription, usage-based, milestone, and time-and-materials, ensuring reconciliation to revenue schedules.
- Support audit and SOX compliance activities by preparing PBC schedules, conducting walkthroughs, and delivering SOX 404 control evidence on schedule.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Legal, FP&A, Billing, Tax, and external auditors to ensure alignment and accuracy in revenue accounting and reporting.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 to 9 years of progressive revenue accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry exposure in SaaS, technology, or services sectors.
- Deep expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition and US GAAP principles, with demonstrated ability to apply the five-step revenue recognition model across diverse contract types such as SaaS subscriptions, licenses, professional services, usage-based, and multi-element arrangements.
- Proven experience leading month-end close cycles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and management reporting deliverables.
- Strong contract analysis skills, capable of identifying performance obligations, determining standalone selling prices, allocating transaction prices, and establishing appropriate revenue recognition timing.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Workday, and familiarity with revenue automation tools like Salesforce CPQ or equivalents.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and handling large data sets.
- Experience supporting external audits and working within SOX 404 control environments.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear technical accounting memos and policy documentation.
