This role is critical in managing the Mobile Application Development Portfolio, overseeing the development and modernization of key mobile applications essential for customer engagement, business operations, and organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Application Modernization and Architecture:
Design, develop, and debug scalable, high-quality mobile features using frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, or Xamarin, ensuring consistent performance across iOS and Android platforms. Develop and maintain native modules in Swift and Kotlin to optimize device-specific functionality. Architect secure local databases (e.g., SQLite, Realm) with synchronization logic to support offline usability. Translate microservices architecture into efficient mobile app structures, focusing on API integration and resource optimization. Maintain high standards of code quality, maintainability, and testing to support long-term stability and feature growth.

UI/UX Engineering and Performance:
Create high-fidelity user interfaces aligned with platform design standards like Google Material Design and Apple Human Interface Guidelines. Use profiling tools such as Xcode Instruments and Android Studio Profiler to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks related to memory, threading, and app launch times. Integrate core device features including GPS, camera, biometrics, and push notifications while managing permissions and power consumption. Utilize crash analytics and monitoring tools to diagnose and fix production issues, ensuring continuous reliability. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code focused on stability and resource management.

Modern Mobile Application Security:
Implement robust security features including secure credential storage, advanced encryption (data at rest and in transit), and OAuth 2.0 or equivalent protocols for secure authorization. Ensure all mobile code and applications comply with internal IT policies, external regulations, and best practices, including mitigation of OWASP Mobile Top 10 risks. Develop and maintain comprehensive automated testing suites covering unit, widget/component, and UI/integration tests to validate functionality and security before deployment. Manage the technical process of app submission to Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including metadata, certificates, provisioning profiles, and version releases.

Cross-Functional Coordination:
Act as the primary liaison between development teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical risks and decisions into clear business terms. Collaborate with backend developers and infrastructure teams to resolve dependencies and coordinate feature releases. Work with technical teams to standardize development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and security practices across the organization.

People Management:
Lead and mentor the mobile development team, fostering professional growth and ensuring project success. Promote continuous learning and enforce coding and documentation standards to maintain high-quality, maintainable codebases.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Minimum 8 years of IT experience, including at least 6 years in mobile application development (native and cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter or React Native).
- At least 4 years of experience with modern UI/UX design principles for mobile applications (Jetpack Compose, Google Material Design, Apple HIG).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mobile application security.
- Possession of at least two mobile development certifications.
