Pepsi Northern Bottling Company (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking an experienced Manager/Assistant Manager – Fleet & Logistics to join their team in Peshawar, Pakistan. This role is ideal for professionals skilled in managing vehicle fleet operations, transportation planning, delivery scheduling, driver supervision, and ensuring compliance with road safety and vehicle documentation. The successful candidate will coordinate with sales, warehouse, and production teams to ensure timely delivery of finished goods to distributors, while controlling transportation costs and maintaining operational efficiency in a fast-paced beverage industry environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete company vehicle fleet, including delivery trucks, forklifts, staff vehicles, and primary transport, ensuring availability, maintenance, and proper utilization.
- Control fleet-related costs such as fuel, maintenance, tires, insurance, and other expenses, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising safety or delivery performance.
- Maintain accurate asset tracking and provide timely updates on new vehicle additions.
- Ensure timely delivery of finished goods by coordinating vehicle assignments with dispatch schedules and resolving transportation issues.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Warehouse, and Production teams to align daily dispatch planning with business requirements.
- Monitor and maintain all vehicle documentation, including fitness certificates, route permits, insurance, and excise documents, ensuring legal compliance.
- Conduct driver training focused on defensive driving, road safety, and adherence to standard operating procedures to promote safe and responsible vehicle operation.
- Manage third-party transporters by negotiating rates, evaluating performance, and ensuring service reliability and compliance.
- Lead and develop fleet supervisors, dispatchers, and drivers by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and fostering effective communication.
- Monitor driver performance and route discipline to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in logistics and fleet management, preferably within the beverage industry or FMCG sector.
- Proven expertise in fleet planning, transportation operations, cost control, driver supervision, route planning, vehicle compliance, third-party transporter management, and cross-departmental coordination.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- A master’s degree such as an MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
