Manager SAP B1

The Manager SAP Business One / SAP B1 Specialist will lead the implementation, support, and continuous improvement of SAP Business One across various business functions. This role ensures seamless integration of business processes, system reliability, and effective user support while aligning SAP B1 solutions with the organization’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will work closely with business users and technical teams to optimize and enhance SAP B1 functionality, driving process efficiency and supporting decision-making through accurate reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

SAP B1 Functional Support: Provide daily functional support to business users across Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Production, MRP, Fixed Assets, and Business Partners. Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests promptly. Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions to enhance system stability and user satisfaction.

SAP B1 Implementation & Rollouts: Participate actively in SAP B1 implementation, rollout, and enhancement projects. Conduct thorough requirement gathering and business process analysis. Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), process flows, test scripts, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentation. Configure SAP B1 modules in line with approved business needs.

Business Process Optimization: Review and analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for automation and standardization. Advocate the use of SAP B1 standard functionalities to minimize unnecessary customizations. Strengthen controls related to purchasing, inventory, sales, production, and finance. Facilitate integration between SAP B1 and other enterprise systems to ensure smooth data flow and process alignment.

SAP B1 Technical Coordination: Collaborate with SAP B1 technical partners and developers on Crystal Reports, SQL queries, stored procedures, User Defined Fields (UDF), User Defined Tables (UDT), User Defined Objects (UDO), add-ons, APIs, and third-party system interfaces. Coordinate technical changes and oversee comprehensive testing before deployment to production environments.

Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain SAP B1 reports and dashboards tailored to operational and management needs. Create SQL queries and operational reports to support KPI tracking and management reporting. Ensure data accuracy and reconciliation between SAP B1 and other integrated systems.

User Management & Training: Conduct user training sessions and prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and user manuals. Provide ongoing support to key users and departmental representatives. Establish and maintain a structured SAP B1 key-user and super-user network to enhance system adoption and knowledge sharing.

Vendor & Project Management: Liaise with SAP B1 implementation and support vendors to monitor deliverables, service level agreements (SLAs), and overall performance. Review technical proposals and cost estimates. Track progress of SAP B1 projects, enhancements, and open issues to ensure timely resolution and successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is essential. Candidates should have 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience with SAP Business One, including at least one full implementation or rollout project. A strong understanding of both business processes and SAP B1 functionality is required. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills are critical for success in this role.
