Located in DHA Phase 1, Lahore, this full-time, on-site position offers an opportunity for a Manual and Automatic Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to work primarily on e-commerce projects. The role involves designing, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated test cases to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of web and mobile applications. The position operates from 10 am to 7 pm, with a competitive salary range of PKR 100,000 to 150,000.
Key Responsibilities
The SQA Engineer will be responsible for reviewing requirements and technical specifications to develop comprehensive test plans. Daily tasks include identifying defects, documenting issues clearly, and collaborating closely with development, product, and project teams to ensure timely resolution of bugs. The role requires setting up and maintaining test environments, preparing detailed test reports, and contributing to the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes and standards. Additionally, the engineer will support release planning, conduct regression testing, and perform risk analysis to help deliver stable and high-quality e-commerce solutions.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have strong expertise in Software Quality, Quality Assurance, and Software Quality Assurance disciplines. Practical experience with manual testing is essential, including test case design, execution, and defect reporting. A solid understanding of software development concepts and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is necessary to collaborate effectively with engineering teams. Applicants should have at least 2.5 years of hands-on SQA experience, preferably working on e-commerce or web application projects. Proficiency with test management and bug-tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms is expected. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software are critical. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, cross-functional teams are also required. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is mandatory.
