Marketing & Business Development Trainee

AshTex.co is a specialized Textile Buying House that connects manufacturers with retailers and brands, focusing on sourcing high-quality fabrics and garments while upholding strict quality control standards. We are seeking a Marketing & Business Development Trainee to join our team in Karāchi on a full-time, on-site basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the apparel and textile sector by supporting market research, identifying trends and opportunities, and assisting in the execution of marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities
The trainee will support various marketing and business development activities, including conducting market research and analyzing trends within the textile and apparel industry. They will assist in preparing presentations and maintaining organized databases of leads and business partners. Daily tasks involve communicating with existing and prospective clients, supporting basic sales outreach efforts, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery. Additionally, the trainee will handle customer follow-ups to maintain strong client relationships.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams. An interest in learning about sourcing and supply chain operations is essential. The ability to work on-site in Karāchi, pay close attention to detail, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is required. Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is necessary, along with good written and verbal communication skills in English. Familiarity with local languages is considered an advantage. Recent graduates or early-career professionals in Business, Marketing, Textile Management, or related fields are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
Experience or skills in using Canva and AI platforms will be beneficial for this role, enhancing the trainee’s ability to contribute creatively to marketing efforts.
