Mechanical Draftsman

We are seeking a Mechanical Draftsman with strong practical and field experience to prepare, review, and modify mechanical and fabrication drawings for telecom infrastructure and steel fabrication projects. This role involves working primarily at project sites across Pakistan, requiring frequent travel and hands-on involvement in site measurements and verification. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify 2D and 3D mechanical and fabrication drawings according to project specifications.
- Develop general arrangement (GA), shop, assembly, fabrication, and installation drawings.
- Create drawings for structural steel, telecom towers, platforms, brackets, supports, and mechanical components.
- Conduct site visits to take measurements, verify dimensions, and assess existing structures and components.
- Translate site measurements and requirements into accurate fabrication and installation drawings.
- Coordinate closely with Site Engineers, Production, Fabrication, QA/QC, and Project Teams to ensure alignment.
- Review drawings against actual site conditions to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Update drawings to incorporate site changes, revisions, and technical modifications.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and Material Take Offs (MTO) as needed.
- Ensure all drawings include correct dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, welding details, and fabrication requirements.
- Provide technical drafting support during installation and fabrication activities.
- Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and project documentation accurately.
- Travel extensively to project sites across Pakistan as required.
- Perform additional drafting and technical duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering degree, or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong practical drafting skills combined with relevant field experience are preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical drafting, steel fabrication, construction, telecom infrastructure, or related engineering projects.
- Proven field or site-based experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Experience with 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Tekla is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings accurately.
- Good understanding of steel sections, fabrication processes, welding, bolts, brackets, supports, and mechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of site measurement techniques and practical fabrication requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Willingness to travel frequently and stay at project sites nationwide.
