Mechanical Engineer

Ultimate Buildmart is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in steel structures, metal fabrication, and architectural metalwork for both exterior and interior designing. The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of steel work and fabrication processes, along with proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing and modifying technical drawings. This role requires the ability to interpret engineering and structural drawings, coordinate with fabricators and site teams, and ensure that all steel-related work meets the specified quality and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, modify, and review 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
- Manage and coordinate steel fabrication and installation activities.
- Read and interpret engineering, fabrication, and structural drawings accurately.
- Prepare measurements, material requirements, and basic Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for steel works.
- Liaise effectively with fabricators, vendors, contractors, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor fabrication and installation progress to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Conduct site visits for measurements, inspections, and technical coordination.
- Identify and resolve technical issues arising during fabrication and installation.
- Ensure proper dimensions, alignment, finishing, and overall quality of steel work.
- Collaborate with design and project teams for drawing revisions and technical clarifications.
- Maintain comprehensive records of drawings, measurements, material requirements, and site progress.
- Perform additional technical or project-related tasks as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Practical experience in steel fabrication and steel-related works.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, especially in creating and modifying 2D technical drawings.
- Strong ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of steel materials, sections, fabrication techniques, welding, cutting, and installation processes.
- Basic skills in measurements, quantity estimation, and material requirement calculations.
- Effective site coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with fabricators and contractors.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Experience and Benefits

- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in steel fabrication, engineering, construction, or project-based roles.
- Candidates with direct experience in steel structures, metal fabrication, or architectural metalwork for both exterior and interior design will be given preference.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs 90,000 to Rs 120,000.
- Work location requires in-person attendance.
