Mechanical Engineer

A Karachi-based industrial trade and service company, recognized with TRACE certification, ISO registration, and listed with DUNS & Bradstreet, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong technical sales expertise. The company serves a diverse clientele including EPC contractors, explorers, operators, and industrial suppliers within the power generation, fertilizers, and oil & gas sectors. Due to increasing project complexity and expanding business needs, the role focuses on supporting commercial and technical operations through specification reviews, supplier-buyer technical alignment, and after-sales support.

Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and interpret mechanical specifications, datasheets, and technical requirements to ensure compliance with client specifications.
- Assess supplier and manufacturer compliance with buyer technical specifications.
- Support bidding processes by assisting in pre-bid evaluations and providing technical clarifications.
- Serve as a technical liaison between buyers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
- Evaluate mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, piping systems, pressure vessels, rotating and static equipment, as well as power generation and oil & gas mechanical packages.
- Participate in technical meetings, clarifications, and negotiations with clients and suppliers.

Required Qualifications
- DAE or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in technical sales, proposal engineering, or tender engineering within the power generation, fertilizers, or oil & gas industries.
- Proficiency in reviewing and applying international standards and codes such as API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, and IEC.
- Strong ability to understand and evaluate client mechanical specifications and vendor documentation.
