We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Site Inspector to join our site supervision team for building construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting mechanical works on-site, ensuring that installation, workmanship, materials, and testing comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and consultant requirements. This role demands a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in mechanical construction.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical installations, including HVAC, chilled-water systems, air-conditioning, ventilation, ductwork, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting piping, pumps, valves, and other mechanical equipment.
- Verify that all works are executed according to approved shop drawings, coordination drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Perform site inspections based on approved Inspection Requests and Work Inspection Requests (WIRs).
- Validate materials and equipment against approved material submittals to ensure compliance.
- Monitor installation quality and workmanship, ensuring adherence to project standards and specifications.
- Oversee pressure testing, flushing, cleaning, equipment installation checks, and mechanical testing and commissioning activities.
- Identify non-compliant work and prepare detailed inspection comments, punch lists, and snag lists for corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure timely follow-up on site observations and non-conformities until closure.
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and consultant engineers to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Collaborate with other disciplines such as electrical, architectural, structural, and civil teams to ensure proper MEP coordination.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical Engineering; additional qualifications will be considered an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical construction or site supervision, preferably on major building projects.
- Strong practical knowledge of HVAC and chilled-water systems, air-conditioning and ventilation, ductwork installation, chilled-water piping, plumbing and drainage systems, domestic water supply, fire-fighting piping, and mechanical equipment installation.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting approved shop drawings, coordination drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Experience in conducting site inspections and verifying compliance with Inspection Requests and WIRs.
- Ability to identify and document non-compliance issues and prepare inspection reports and punch lists.
- Good understanding of MEP coordination with other construction disciplines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate professionally with all project stakeholders.
