Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician with practical experience in crane maintenance and heavy industrial equipment to join a reputable client in the industrial sector based in Karachi. This full-time role requires a hands-on professional who can efficiently perform maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of cranes and other heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to safety standards in demanding industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on cranes and heavy industrial machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections, lubrication, alignment, and component replacement.
- Maintain overhead cranes, EOT cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment.
- Identify mechanical faults promptly to minimize equipment downtime through timely repairs.
- Maintain detailed breakdown reports, maintenance records, and inspection checklists.
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and maintenance procedures at all times.

Required Qualifications:
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, crane maintenance, or mechanical fitting.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills essential for diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding industrial environment while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
