Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the efficient operation of machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and supporting the installation and commissioning of new machinery. This role requires a proactive approach to preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime while adhering to safety standards and maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities aimed at reducing equipment downtime and extending machinery lifespan.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
- Follow all safety procedures rigorously to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records for machinery and equipment.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical Technology or a relevant technical qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively within a team setting.
