We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Mechanical/Product Design Engineer to lead the physical development of our next-generation consumer electronics products. This role goes beyond basic enclosure design; you will craft sleek, ergonomic, and highly manufacturable housings where precision down to 0.1mm is critical. Your work will directly influence the look, feel, and functionality of cutting-edge devices, including compact wearables.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptual Design: Develop innovative 3D concepts and industrial designs focused on aesthetics and user ergonomics for consumer electronics.
- Detailed Engineering: Produce high-fidelity 3D models using SolidWorks, ensuring precise integration with PCBs and internal components.
- Miniaturization: Engineer designs that meet extremely tight tolerances, such as those required for wearable rings and other small devices.
- Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA): Prepare designs optimized for high-volume production methods including injection molding, die casting, and CNC machining.
- Prototyping: Oversee 3D printing processes (SLA/FDM) and functional prototyping to validate form, fit, and assembly before mass production.
- Thermal and Structural Analysis: Conduct basic simulations to verify device durability and effective heat dissipation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical design, preferably within consumer electronics or handheld devices.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks and Ansys software for 3D modeling and simulation.
- Strong knowledge of rapid prototyping techniques, including 3D printing technologies.
- In-depth understanding of materials commonly used in consumer technology such as plastics (ABS, PC, TPU), resins, and metals.
Compensation and Work Location
The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs70,000 to Rs90,000. This is an in-person role requiring presence at the designated work location.
This opportunity is ideal for engineers passionate about pushing the boundaries of product design, combining creativity with technical precision to deliver outstanding consumer devices.
