Medical Billing Specialist – Hearing & Audiology

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management team, focusing on hearing and audiology services. This role involves managing the entire medical billing process to ensure accurate claim submissions, timely reimbursements, and effective resolution of denials while maintaining strict compliance with US healthcare billing regulations. The position requires working night shifts aligned with US business hours and is based at Fazal Software Technology Park in Islamabad.

Key Responsibilities

- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage, and authorization requirements for patients.
- Perform charge entry and submit claims using appropriate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes.
- Process billing for audiology evaluations, hearing tests, hearing aid services, and related procedures.
- Manage claim rejections, denials, appeals, and resubmissions to maximize reimbursement.
- Conduct accounts receivable (AR) follow-ups to resolve outstanding claims and payment delays.
- Post insurance payments, review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs), and identify underpayments or discrepancies.
- Review medical documentation to ensure compliance with payer policies and HIPAA requirements.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve billing issues.
- Maintain accurate billing records while meeting assigned productivity and quality targets.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree preferred in a relevant field.
- 1–2 years of experience in US medical billing, preferably within audiology, ENT, or hearing healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of US medical billing and revenue cycle management processes.
- Familiarity with audiology and hearing healthcare billing procedures.
- Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Experience with insurance verification, claim submission, denial management, and AR follow-up.
- Skilled in using medical billing software, Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Practice Management (PM) systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Practical experience handling claims processing, denials, and insurance follow-ups is highly advantageous.
- Performance will be measured by claim submission accuracy, first-pass acceptance rate, denial resolution, AR recovery, productivity, quality, turnaround time, and compliance with payer requirements and filing deadlines.
- Competitive monthly salary range of Rs60,000 to Rs90,000.
- This position requires in-person attendance at the Islamabad office.
