Key Responsibilities
The Medical Doctor will conduct virtual consultations via the TellaDoc platform, assessing patient symptoms, reviewing medical histories, and providing evidence-based clinical advice. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing common and chronic conditions, electronically prescribing medications, and ordering or interpreting diagnostic tests as needed. The role requires accurate documentation of patient encounters in digital health records, maintaining compliance with clinical protocols and telemedicine guidelines. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential to ensure continuity and quality of care. This is a full-time remote position that demands reliable availability during assigned shifts and strict adherence to professional and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution, with valid registration/licensure from the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).
- Completion of FCPS, MCPS, MRCP, MRCPsych, or other fellowship exams recognized on the PMDC portfolio.
- Clinical experience in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, or related specialties, with demonstrated skills in virtual patient assessment and management.
- Proficiency in digital health platforms, electronic medical records, e-prescription tools, and basic telehealth technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of clear, empathetic, and culturally sensitive interactions with patients via video, audio, and text.
- Strong clinical judgment, commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and respond promptly during scheduled consultation hours.
- Fluency in English and Urdu; knowledge of additional regional languages is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Prior telemedicine experience and familiarity with digital healthcare workflows are preferred. Candidates engaged in ongoing continuing medical education will be highly regarded.
