Hasan Suleman Memorial Hospital (HSMH), a 312-bed facility currently under development in Malir, Karachi, is preparing to open its doors in December 2026. Committed to delivering safe, high-quality, accessible, and patient-centered healthcare, HSMH is seeking a qualified and dedicated Medical Officer to join its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing medical care to critically ill patients, supporting the ICU team in maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and clinical effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess and continuously monitor critically ill patients, delivering appropriate medical interventions.
- Recognize and respond promptly to clinical deterioration and medical emergencies within the ICU.
- Assist in the management of ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients under consultant supervision.
- Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and overall patient progress to inform treatment decisions.
- Collaborate effectively with consultants, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and clinical documentation.
- Adhere strictly to ICU protocols, infection prevention measures, and patient safety standards.
- Participate actively in clinical handovers, ward rounds, and emergency response activities as part of the ICU team.

Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) registration is mandatory.
- Minimum of four years’ clinical experience in an ICU setting is required.
- Experience working in hospital environments, particularly within ICU, Critical Care, or Emergency Medicine departments.

Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification or specialized training in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine will be highly regarded.
- FCPS training is considered an advantage.

Additional Information
This position requires the candidate to work on-site at the hospital located at Plot #89, Deh Khanto, Taluka Ibrahim Hyderi, District Malir, Karachi. Candidates should be able to commute independently.
