The Aga Khan University Hospital is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join the Clinical Laboratory team in Baluchistan. This role involves managing patient interactions related to laboratory services, ensuring smooth processing of prescribed tests, and supporting the laboratory’s operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in both administrative and clinical tasks, including phlebotomy, and will demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
- Verify and process laboratory test requests prescribed by doctors accurately.
- Inform and guide patients about laboratory tests and procedures to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Distribute laboratory test reports to the appropriate individuals in a timely manner.
- Manage cash and credit transactions, maintaining daily records of any discrepancies in accordance with laboratory policies.
- Confirm test requirements with patients and provide clear verbal or written instructions to facilitate proper specimen collection.
- Handle telephone inquiries related to laboratory tests and schedule patient appointments for specialized tests.
- Serve as a Phlebotomist when required, functioning as a dual-role worker at specimen collection points.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
- One to two years of relevant work experience in a clinical or laboratory setting.
- At least one year of experience as a Phlebotomist.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Flexibility to work in shifts as per operational requirements.
- Proficiency in computer applications relevant to laboratory and administrative tasks.
- Sound knowledge of laboratory tests and procedures to assist patients accurately.
