This position is for a Medical Scheduling Coordinator to support a U.S.-based healthcare practice. The role requires working full-time during U.S. business hours from either the Lahore or Islamabad office. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in medical scheduling and billing within the U.S. healthcare environment, and the ability to manage patient interactions with accuracy and professionalism. Attention to detail, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA regulations are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of incoming patient calls, routing inquiries appropriately.
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments according to provider availability and scheduling protocols.
- Manage provider calendars, appointment slots, waitlists, and patient recalls.
- Collect and update patient demographic, insurance, and intake information.
- Process copays, balances, and other patient payments when required.
- Provide appointment confirmations, reminders, and preparation instructions to patients.
- Accurately document patient interactions and scheduling updates in the EHR system.
- Identify and escalate urgent patient concerns to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance to protect patient information at all times.
- Support daily administrative and scheduling workflows as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing and able to work full-time from the Lahore or Islamabad office (non-negotiable).
- Availability to work Monday through Friday during U.S. business hours (non-negotiable).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical billing and accounts receivable within a U.S. healthcare setting.
- Previous experience in medical scheduling, patient coordination, or healthcare customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong phone and call-handling abilities.
- Familiarity with EHR and scheduling systems.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to evolving processes.

- Experience with payment collection is preferred.
