Workforce Commerce is looking for a talented MERN Stack Developer with four years of professional experience to join our growing development team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in building scalable, high-performance web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack solutions that align with business objectives while delivering outstanding user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and deploy full-stack web applications using the MERN stack. Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and fellow developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate them seamlessly with frontend components. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness. Write clean, reusable, and efficient code following industry best practices. Manage databases, perform data migrations, and enforce security and data protection standards. Work with third-party APIs and authentication systems such as OAuth and JWT, as well as cloud platforms. Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to enhance functionality and performance.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) is essential, with optional experience in TypeScript. Hands-on experience with the core MERN stack technologies—MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js—is required. Familiarity with Redux, React Hooks, Next.js, or other React frameworks is expected. A solid understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and WebSocket communication protocols is necessary. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive UI frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS is important. Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control workflows is required. Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT and OAuth, is essential. Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or DigitalOcean is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail are critical. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team is a must.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, or working within microservices architectures, is highly desirable. Knowledge of serverless computing platforms, including AWS Lambda and Firebase functions, is a plus. Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress is beneficial. A basic understanding of DevOps practices and deployment automation tools will be advantageous.
