Microsoft 365 Administrator

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Microsoft 365 Administrator to join our Managed Services Provider (MSP) team. This role is well-suited for candidates with a foundational understanding of Microsoft 365 administration, cloud security, and Microsoft Azure who are eager to enhance their technical expertise within a professional IT services environment. The successful candidate will support day-to-day administration of client Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, troubleshoot technical issues, respond to support tickets, and collaborate closely with senior engineers to resolve complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the administration and support of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive.
- Create and manage user accounts, groups, licenses, mailboxes, and permissions within Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Support configuration and maintenance of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access policies, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Provide assistance with Microsoft Defender, including email security, security alerts, and policy administration.
- Deliver basic Microsoft Intune support, covering device enrollment, compliance policies, and endpoint management.
- Assist with fundamental Microsoft Azure administration tasks, such as managing Virtual Machines (VMs), Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Azure Backup.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and Azure incidents and service requests via ticketing systems.
- Perform routine administrative duties including password resets, license assignments, mailbox permissions, and user onboarding/offboarding.
- Adhere to established security procedures and MSP best practices when managing client environments.
- Document troubleshooting processes, technical resolutions, and configuration changes accurately.
- Escalate complex technical or security issues to senior engineers as necessary.
- Maintain professional communication with clients and provide timely updates on support requests.

Required Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Familiarity with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender.
- Awareness of identity and security concepts, including MFA, Conditional Access, and RBAC.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud computing concepts.
- Experience or familiarity with Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Azure Backup is advantageous.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing and user administration.
- Ability to troubleshoot common Microsoft 365 and cloud-related issues effectively.
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn new Microsoft technologies and follow established technical procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently within an MSP and ticket-based support environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Knowledge

- Knowledge of IT ticketing systems to manage and track support requests.
- Basic PowerShell scripting skills are considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Licensing Administration.
- Experience with security tools such as Microsoft Defender and endpoint management solutions.
