- Paint directly onto 3D assets and UV layouts using texturing tools to support 3D artists and maintain consistent art direction.
- Occasionally assist with 2D UI elements, icons, marketing art, or promotional illustrations as needed.
- Contribute to defining visual style guides, color palettes, and thematic directions for new game projects or expansions.
- Collaborate with technical artists and 3D generalists to review textures in-engine (Unity and/or Unreal Engine) and make necessary color or detail adjustments.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience as a 2D Concept Artist, Texture Artist, or 2D Game Generalist.
- Expert proficiency in 2D raster software such as Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or Procreate.

- Working knowledge of how 2D textures align with 3D geometry, including UV mapping, texel density, normal mapping, and basic engine shaders.
- Ability to adapt to various visual styles ranging from stylized/hand-painted to semi-realistic and realistic.
- A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing concept art (characters, environments, or props) alongside texture map examples and finished 3D model texturing work is required.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Basic understanding of 3D software such as Blender, Maya, or ZBrush for quick 3D block-outs or paint-overs.
