Mid-Level Backend Developer (Node.js)

We are looking for a Mid-Level Backend Developer with 3.5 to 4 years of experience to join our team on-site. In this role, you will be responsible for developing APIs and backend services that support our React Native and React web applications. You will independently manage projects from initial research through to deployment, working closely with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Node.js backend development, experience with third-party service integrations, and familiarity with AI workflows. This is a full-time position requiring availability during evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs, along with real-time socket services using Node.js and Python.
- Design scalable backend systems using microservices architecture, service layers, and repository patterns.
- Build AI-driven automations and workflows, including integration with large language models (LLMs).
- Integrate payment gateways and authentication providers such as Stripe, Plaid, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), AWS services, and phone authentication platforms like Twilio.
- Take full ownership of projects from research and design phases through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Write thorough tests and API documentation, and actively participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and reliability.

Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and object-oriented programming concepts; experience with frontend web applications is a plus.
- Proficiency in backend development using Node.js frameworks such as Express, NestJS, or Fastify, along with Python.
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and real-time socket communication, including handling API versioning, pagination, and documentation.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, service layers, and repository design patterns.
- Practical experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, and ORMs like Prisma, Drizzle, or Mongoose. Knowledge of ACID transactions, caching strategies, and scaling methods (both vertical and horizontal) is essential.
- Familiarity with security best practices including authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), and end-to-end encryption.
- Proven track record integrating third-party services such as LLMs, Stripe, Plaid, Firebase (FCM), AWS, and phone authentication providers like Twilio.
- Comfortable working with containerization tools like Docker and managing scheduled background jobs.
- Experience writing automated tests using frameworks such as Jest and Mocha.
- Strong collaboration and research skills, with the ability to independently manage projects and deliver results.

Compensation and Work Environment
- Monthly salary range: Rs120,000 to Rs180,000.
- Full-time, on-site role with an evening shift schedule.
